Interior Stylist - Katherine Pooley

  Katherine Pooley is a London based interior stylist who has garnered world class status in the area of interior design. Her interiors are all quite luxurious and minimalistic like this 19th century gated mews in London's famous Hyde Park. I do like what she's done with the place, the rooms are furnished to perfection, all spaciously laid out with dollops of charm and elegance and the glamorous decor creates a lovely ambience for some late night wining and dining. [source]

Bright Spacious Interiors

The decor is all kept to the minimum in spacious rooms with so much natural light flowing
through. I liked various aspects of the design and the bedroom is my favourite because
it's surrounded by abundant foliage. {source}

Decor Inspirations

A look at Swedish interior designer, Marie Olsson Nylander's home. It just inspires me to continue collecting odd bits of furniture. see more {here}.

Netrest by Dedon

The {Netrest} is such a beautiful and unique build ~ designed to be an over sized birds nest and a suspended santuary according to its designers who created this unique hanging pod for some private and unusual relaxation moments. What an amazingly clever idea. I want one for myself!

Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Bathroom designs ~ vintage tubs

Vintage bath tubs have such character, be a it a salvaged tub like the top right corner tub or custom made ones, they all add a certain mood to the bathroom, don't you think. There's also more space to throw in decorative bits to achieve your desired ambiance. I do love them  ~ my ideal sort of bath space. {source}

Swedish Interiors and other news

Apologies for the lack of posts as life has been a bit of a roller coaster recently and sadly, my blog took a beating so to begin I've revisited this Swedish interiors website which never fails to impress with some quirky decor. I thought how funny to hang family pictures high above the front door, completely out of anyone's reach but it does show individuality and I liked all the different sized pictures frames. Also, came across some very unique craftmanship by Soojin kang, a South Korean designer who dresses old antique furniture with patchwork fabric and designer Lizzie Allen who makes bespoke hand screen printed wallpaper of London life which I love.
To top it off, 'Kirstie Allsopp Homemade home'  series 2 is back!!. She certainly inspired a lot of us to go foraging for second hand furniture at car boot sales and street corners and forget about buying boring flat pack furniture. I couldn't agree more. I've picked one of her tube clips from season 1 for you. That's all folks! enjoy watching.

Elle Magazine Decor {witty interiors}

champagne chilled in the grand piano!
L - {a master bath with a shell-encrusted chandelier tub filler} awesome!
R - {vintage styled walls with pages from old books, tapped together with glue and water}
Celebrity Living Rooms in Elle. I love the pink embroidered Morrocan pouf! Wonderful in any living room.

Swede Style Living in Gothenburg {interiors and artful decor}

The interiors of various Swedish apartments located in Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden after Stockholm. Styled by {Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör}, I liked all the simple finishings in these plain white interiors, kitchen chandeliers and the cosiness each room exudes despite all the natural light passing through. Not too extravagant in terms of decor but the simplicity feels comforting. Haven't been to Gothenburg, but I'd thoroughly recommend Stockholm to any avid traveller for its beauty, architecture, boat trips, walks, shopping and the absolutely must see Vasa museum.

Herve Pierre's Home, Creative Director for Carolina Herrera

This very decorative home belongs to Herve Pierre, Creative Director at Carolina Herrera, seen here striking a pose in his beautiful four-poster bed! Would I just love to roll around in one of those; I would probably never roll out of it. Eccentric decor isn't it? notice the tiny chair with some loo roll sitting in this last picture of his bathroom and the giant perfume bottles. Brilliant! {The Selby-image source}

Peering into other people's homes

..in one of my favourite cities Berlin!, so my excitement was heightened when I discovered this German site Freunde von Freunde which showcases homes and working spaces belonging to creative people in Berlin. All quite quirky and original! I devoured the site and singled out a few pictures which intrigued me but there is so much more to see.

True Scandinavian Contemporary Living at Pia Ulin

Pretty cool shots aren't they? I'm having a bit of a moment with interiors. This takes me back in time with the combination of wallpaper, vintage decor, clutter, parquet flooring and the shortage of furniture amongst other things. If you wanna gawk at more retro old school pictures, keep flipping here.  It just get's better!
